Which living arrangement is right for you?

Independent Living

Active seniors who are self-sufficient and want to live in a community with others of the same age. This can include apartments or homes with community amenities, such as, gyms, pools or activity centers and social/recreational activities.

Assisted Living

Seniors who need help with daily activities (e.g., bathing, dressing, medication management) but don’t require constant medical care. This can include private or shared apartments, on-site caregivers, meals, housekeeping & planned activities included.

Memory Care

Seniors with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other memory-related conditions. These facilities are designed to prevent wandering, have specialized staff trained to handle cognitive impairments and structured routines & memory-enhancing activities.

Skilled Nursing Facility (Nursing Home)

Seniors requiring 24/7 medical care and supervision.  This facility will have licensed nurses & medical staff on-site, rehabilitation services (e.g., physical therapy), and assistance with daily living tasks.

Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC's)

Seniors seeking a long-term solution with multiple levels of care in one location. These facilities is a combination of independent living, assisted living & skilled nursing. This allows residents to transition as their care needs change.

In-Home Care

Seniors preferring to stay in their own homes while receiving assistance. Caregivers provide help with personal care, housekeeping & meal preparation. There can be options for medical and non-medical support. 

Adult Day Care

Seniors who live with family but need daytime care and supervision. These facilities have structured activities, meals & socialization. The often will include health monitoring and therapeutic services. 

Respite Care

Seniors needing short-term care, often to give a break to their regular caregivers. These are meant for temporary stays in assisted living or nursing homes and a full range of services are provided during their stay.

Shared Housing/Co-Housing

Seniors who prefer to live with peers in a shared home environment. These facilities offer private rooms with shared common areas and cost-sharing for utilities and meals.

Affordable Senior Housing

 Seniors on a fixed income looking for affordable living options. These are government-subsidized apartments or housing programs which have basic amenities with support services available.
